TEACHING & PREACHING ABOUT WAR & PEACE : A Workshop for Clergy and Church Educators

This workshop was led by Dr. Willard Swartley with respondent Robert Webber, PhD.

How are we doing in our preaching and teaching about nonviolence and war? What biblical, moral and pastoral issues affect our witness? What do Anabaptist and Mainline traditions have to offer the wider church?

Willard Swartley is Professor Emeritus of New Testament at Affiliated Mennonite Biblical Seminary, Elkhart, Indiana. He is a distinguished and influential Anabaptist scholar with numerous publications on a wide range of topics. His most recent books are Covenant of Peace: The Missing Peace in New Testament Theology and Ethics (Eerdmans, 2006), and Send Forth Your Light: A Vision for Peace, Mission and Worship (Herald, 2007).

Robert D. Webber is Professor Emeritus of New Testament at Lancaster Theological Seminary.
